It’s my opinion that, once a game is finished, the creator needs to stand back and let the audience sink their teeth into it undisturbed; so I’ve been quiet this past week in order to let you do just that.
The general opinion of the game seems to have been as good as I could have hoped, if not better. Most of the complaints made me chuckle, for no other reason than because I completely agree with them. This being a first time project that I began with an entirely different plan, dropped, picked up again, only figured where the story was going halfway through, dropped yet again and so on and so forth… well, let’s just say that for every seam you’ve noticed in the cloth, I assure you there are three more I only just barely managed to disguise. I'll let you in the little secret that the game was originally meant to be mostly plotless, and leave you to imagine what in the ungodly fuck happened between that point and this one.
That said, I’m glad most of you seem to have enjoyed it. I’ve been reading the discussions and polishing up the few remaining bugs that people have found for another release later on.
On the matter of achievements, I’ve decided to not give out any hints. However, there is one achievement you get automatically for getting all the others, so you’ll definitely know it when you finish the game completely.
I am currently working on a lazy, small sequel. Nothing revolutionary or drastically different, but rather just a short episode where you can play around and do some stuff. That said, I make no promises as to its release date since I am busy with work, and provided my country’s currency continues to freefall into the gaping maw of oblivion, might even need to get another job that’ll further cut into my Shitty Code/Writing Happy Time sessions… but I won’t bore you with depressing stuff. I WILL release more, eventually. I’ve no intention to become yet another One Game Author, but I wanted to explain why I’m not in a position to devote as much time as I’d like.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the turnout and hope to keep writing in the future. Thank you all for your feedback, compliments, and once again, thanks to my beta testers who helped me polish it up for release.
See you all (hopefully) soon.
